Shannonclad NoDrops

This is a non woven synthetic fibre/textile which eliminates the need of felting or under laying single skin sheets-in order to reduce condensation to a minimum and save on labour costs. “NoDrops” like the entire range of cladding available from Shannonside Galvanizing can be cut to any length desired. “NoDrops” can be applied to any of our Polyester or PVC coating cladding range.

Controlling condensation

When the temperature and humidity conditions reach the dew point, moisture condenses on the underside of the uninsulated metal roof. If there is a lot of condensation, drops of water form and start to fall causing damage to the contents below. The traditional method for dealing with condensation is to try and insulate the roof so that the temperature on the panel never reaches the dew point.

The “No Drops” Solution

The roof panel with “No Drops” provides a medium for trapping this moisture in the specially designed pockets formed in the membrane. “NoDrops” holds that moisture until conditions go back below the dew point and it is released back into the air in the form of normal humidity.

“NoDrops” is self adhesive, and is applied to the metal panel in the roll forming process. As a result,
“NoDrops” arrives at the building site already in place and set to be installed with the roofing panels immediately, thereby not necessitating the use of ‘on site’ adhesives or resins. The membrane is resistant to aging, and also provides an additional layer of protection for your metal roof. This material is capable of absorbing 900 grams of moisture per square meter this is variable depending on the pitch/slope of the roof.
